SLJ Day2. water project.

The Water Project provide health and education in 3rd world countries. At the moment people in the world do not have much water or if they do its not clean and they will die and without water. Water project teachers people to gather water and with technology to help clean the water. The water project also helps girls who are not valued in Kenya to collect and work with water so then they are useful.

SLJ Activity 3: Big Friendly Giants

Character Description of the BFG by Roald Dahl. The BFG is a big friendly giant who has a great sense of humour and is very funny. It takes a great deal to get him angry but if you hurt someone he cares about he will protect them with his size and strength. He is a very happy and caring character who doesn't get sad very often. He is adventurous and very quirky. He is a loyal and fun friend who would always look out for those around him.

Activity 2: Equal Pay for Equal Work? The Black Ferns is NZ's women's rugby team. This team has won 5 world cups but they were not professional at the time so they did not get paid. I do not think this is fair. The women's rugby team is now professional but they don't get paid the same as the men's rugby team the All Blacks. I think they should get paid the same because they are doing the same thing and they are representing their country.The money should be divided equally between all the players. They train hard and are a successful team and there is no difference between them.It is only fair they get paid the same amount.

WALT.... Rot your teeth.

 In science this term  I was leaning  about fair tests.
my group did  an experiment about  what soft drink  would  rot your teeth. We used egg shell in four different soft drinks I thought coke would  rot the teeth the most. the coke rot more than then  the  other one and it is right.

What I did in since is rot your teeth we have to crack the eggs and  we have to put in  the creak for two hours.

 Ryan made the map into a  boring street the name of the street was Baring street but Ryan found the new area boring so he renamed it.  The skate park was boring and lame, the shops, especially the computer shop and even his room was boring

Some people  do not go to school or work .

The family get hungry  and often they walk far to get water.  There is not much food .
They do not have lots of
rain which means there is no water  to grow crops or to drink.

The  floods destroy their food and houses.  Because of this they do not have animals.

Some  children do not have a family the teachers use  the children to do things and make
them worked instead of teaching them.  
Some people destroy food and kill children..
Why? Because some people are at war.

Today is pink shirt day and it mean we do not bully people and we are suppose to wear pink things.

What we had to do: Celebrate pink shirt day by wearing pink cloths.

What I found easy: To find a pink shirt.

Mother's Day Character Descriptions

         Mothers day

My Mothers name is  Julia Felila Otto.

She is  tall and has  long black hair that she wears loose. She has brown eyes that  are friendly and happy.

She has a  smiley on her  face and she laughs a  lot. Most of the lines on her face are from laughing too much.   

She is a good Mother  because she looks after the family by cooking meals and  bossing us into doing chores. If she didn’t we would be playing down at the park.

My mum really likes going to meet her friends. When they are together they  sit in a circle and talk about everything in the world. One thing my Mum doesn’t like is answering Her back because if you do She will send you into your bedroom for six years.

My Mum is kind and caring because she  make sure that she helps at the club rooms and  gets us all ready on time for church.

I like it when my Mum gives me  a hug when I’m sick or disappointed.

My Mum is  special.

Pig the pug fell out the window so he went to hospital.It was quiet at the hospital.The Hospital was so cleaned and bright and the doctors and nurses   were so helpful. the  doctor said "what happened ?" He lied the doctor and said" Trevor  Pushed me out of the window. Trevor said" No I did not Push him  out of the window".Trevor was sad and mad. Trevor came up with a good plan. he showed the doctor the Video. The  doctor showed the Video to the police.
